Prague is a beautiful city

I spent last weekend in the heart of Europe. I did visit Hanuš a Heřt and was indeed excited!
I toured the Jewish part of the town with my Spanish friend Pablo from Salamanca and had a drumming lesson with Otto Heinitz, one of the best drummers I´ve ever met. I also talked to my potential producer, but that´s a different story.

My questionmark key has broken

Hi there, yesterday we had a good rehersal with the band: Michal Šupák, Pavel Pilch and I. But we´re really missing our bass player, who is supposedly somewhere in Spain hitchhiking. We did a few songs and found it especially hard to play the blues I wrote together with the keyboard so that it doesn´t sound like mess.
As I woke up this morning, I started reading various magazines I bought and now am sticking small photos of Beatles and Vladimír Merta and Mišík in my Music Journal. In the middle of this exercise book used as a musician´s diary, I have notes - rythm for the UK Blues we had to put down.
We´ll have roast chicken with rice for lunch. Hmm... I´m hungry.
I should also call Hanuš a Heřt drum company to ask for snare drums at lower prices - 820 € is just a lot of money for a piece of drumset. Check it out, if you want, at www.hanushert.com

To me time has stopped

Yesterday evening, I spent nearly three hours jamming with my sister, a 6 or 7-year-old-cousin and my mom. We played a Tibetan bowl, a djembe drum from Malawi and percussion brought from Cape Town not long ago by my dad. Then I took the guitar and we all sang regional and Polish songs.

The following morning was a bit dusty but I did have a proper breakfast and than brushed my teeth. I searched the internet to find some good stuff for my girlfriend to learn English from. www.bbc.co.uk, www.onestopenglish.com, ...

I´ll go to eat lunch at my grandparents´ place in a minute. We´ll be having plum dumplings, delicious !

Morning Bell 5/4

A song that follows Iditoteque on Kid A Radiohead album and is in 5/4. But it´s not actually how I feel now. I´m much happier, it´s a nice state of mind I´ve been since yesterday. I´m about to go in-line skating again but first I´ll try to write something in German.

Ab und zu werde ich auch auf Deutsch, Polnisch und Tschechisch schreiben. Diese Ferien war ich in Wien. Zwei Wochen Deutsch lernen sind velleicht nicht genug, sowieso macht es Spaß. Jetzt muss ich leider gehen. Bis später.

I got my hair cut today and I went to talk with a friend of my mom and she helped me a lot mentally. She is the only person except my sister I openly told the secret. But it´s secret.

Now I am watching TV with my parents. My girlfriend wrote me a message so that made me quite happy. I went in-line skating in the afternoon too. I used to skate a lot, but as my musical interests rose these would start to fade. I am going to have a bath...

First ever blog I´ve made

Sunny morning here in Central Europe where I happen to live. I´m listening to Dizzy Gillespie while my mom´s cooking spinach with potatoes. My sister has only got the new CD by Christina Aguilera - Back to Basics, so in her bedroom - R´n´B cries with pumping bass lines. By the way, I´ve realized that the record has a vintage vinyl sound. When Johny (my bass player), Michal (keyboard) and I were once making a background for Joe Cocker´s Highway so that I could sing it at a contest in our town we had to use a drum loop with the same sparkling effect ´cause we didn´t have anything else. Only now do I know that Aguilera´s producers do it like that on purpose.
